Renee Audette is the 14th Gary and Melissa Oakland Artist-in-Residence at the YAM’s Visible Vault. She is a figurative artist who creates emotionally-charged narrative sculptures and paintings related to human psychology and her own personal experiences. She received a B.F.A. from the University of Wyoming in 2000, and an M.F.A. from the University of Florida in 2005.
Audette exhibits her work both nationally and internationally, and her work has been published in several books and art journals. Her work is featured in permanent art collections throughout the United States and in Jingdezen China. Currently, she is a studio artist and part-time art instructor at Montana State University, Billings. She has also led past adult art education workshops at the YAM.
