Krista Leigh Pasini
Krista Leigh Pasini describes herself as an interdisciplinary performance artist, art doula, and public art facilitator.
Throughout her YAM Residency in the Gary and Melissa Oakland Studio in the Visible Vault, Krista will explore several projects in various modes, from performative post-mortem memoir to social sculpture installations. Her work is inspired by the life experiences and ultimate death of her father, who battled with a progressive neurological brain disease and maintained a tedious journaling system to cope with memory loss. Krista hopes to, through her work, explore an environment where her father’s story offers an invitation to connect and play. She hopes to honor the common bonds that we share as individuals, as families, and as communities. The final installation of her residency will include a series of public performances January 2 – 5, 2025 featuring an ensemble cast of creative souls.
Krista is co-founder of Rain Soul Studio, a bespoke wellness studio located in downtown Billings where she serves as a certified holistic bodymind coach, creative mindset mentor, and comprehensive yoga nidra guide. Among her continued education credentials, Krista is an honors scholar with a BFA in History from Montana State University—Billings and holds an MFA in Interdisciplinary Art from Goddard College.
Krista is available during her open studio hours on Thursdays from 10 AM – 3 PM. Guests are welcome the studio and browse the Note to Self Installation, learn about the Stuck on You performance art project and leave a few notes of your own behind.

Soulful Sunday
Sunday, Novebmer 3 | 10 AM – 12 PM
Another Soulful Sunday is on the way! This mindful self-guided dance/movement session is part Krista Pasini’s offerings as artist in residence at the Yellowstone Art Museum. Movement, music, and mindfulness can stir restorative, healing, qualities for our bodyminds. Each session offers some space to welcome mindful, intentional movement, opportunities to listen and respond, as well as some time to settle at the end — to breathe, rest, and renew. Whether you’ve got a stellar 80s running man vibe, a modern dance triplet background, a tai chi practice, or a woodland fairy float – we all are dancers. Our breath dances us in and through each and every moment. We’d love to share the morning with you. Movement & dance are increasingly becoming known resources for brain health and neuroplasticity (ability to change and adapt neural patterning + improve attention, memory, mood). It also improves cardiovascular health, muscle engagement, posture, and overall mobility.
