Children’s art is often a pure look into ourselves as individuals and a society. The artwork in this exhibition, Art along the Bighorn: A Child’s Perspective, reflects young artists’ perspectives on life, culture, and creative expression along the Bighorn River.

Art along the Bighorn is a traveling exhibition designed to share artwork created during the 2015-2016 school year by fourth and fifth grade students from Crow Agency Elementary School.  This work is the result of an art education partnership between Yellowstone Art Museum and Hardin Public School District that has been in place since 2002.  The exhibition includes 38 paintings, drawings, and mixed media works, framed uniformly in matte black wooden frames, and 2 wooden spinning tops (3D).  The space requirements are approximately 750 square feet or 75 linear feet.  If interested, your venue would need to provide one covered pedestal for the spinning tops (minimum top surface dimensions 16 x 16 inches).  The rental fee is $200 per four-week period with a maximum of twelve weeks per single venue.  See the prospectus for additional details, including shipping, insurance and crating.  This exhibition is available as of August 10, 2017.
