the annual yellowstone art auction is the yam’s signature fundraising event

Yellowstone Art Auction 57
Bidding & Exhibition Opening February 7, 2025
Mark your calendars for the annual Live Auction Gala taking place on Saturday, March 8, 2025

The Yellowstone Art Museum is excited to announce that the 57th Annual Yellowstone Art Auction will take place February 7 to March 8, 2025.

The Art Auction is one of the YAM’s most treasured opportunities to spotlight celebrated regional artwork, introduce emerging artists, and inspire patrons at every stage of collecting. The YAM’s juried Art Auction exhibition showcases a diverse range of artworks available for Silent Auction, including a Small Works subset, in addition to a select grouping of Live-Auction-only pieces. Participating artists are generously donating a percentage of the sale of each piece in support of the YAM.

The Art Auction will again feature several events and artist talks during the run of the exhibition. The signature museum fundraiser will open with a free to the public artists’ celebration and culminate in a ticketed Live Auction Gala, known as “The Night.” As the YAM’s largest fundraiser of the year, the Art Auction raises crucial support for the exhibitions and educational programs that the Yellowstone Art Museum presents annually.

Manette Rene Bradford

Auction Artist Talk: Manette Rene Bradford
Thursday, February 13 | Reception at 5 PM,  Artist Talk at 5:30 PM

Manette Rene Bradford (b. 1978, St. Paul, MN) constructs imagined allegorical narratives through painting, sculpture, and wall-sized mixed media works for specific geographic locations, historical moments, or ecological conditions. Manette combines historical, ecological, and folkloric research with her own direct experience of place to develop her work. Through the act of building these narratives, she engages with and imitates humanity’s behavioral impulse to possess, anthropomorphize, and project itself onto the land and its biosphere, and the impression that is left as a result.

She also draws much inspiration from written accounts on Motherhood, feminist literature, and folklore.
