Richard Nelson worked, taught, lived, and cleaned up at Bob Blackburn’s Printmaking Workshop in New York City from 1977 – 1990. The friendship developed with Bob and experiences made with the artists of the workshop formed an indelible impression on him of the value of both artists and art as part of humanity. This talk will be a quick roller-coaster ride of the scene at the workshop and Bob’s role in providing a nurturing home for artists from around the world. Richard now lives in Bozeman with his family trying to carry on with the values he learned during these formative years.
