Auction Artist Talk: Elizabeth Korth

Beth Korth grew up in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She received her BFA from the University of Wyoming and her MFA from the University of Montana. Korth is the art education and visitor center manager at Tippet Rise Art Center in Fishtail, Montana. People find themselves in a composite of stories, experiences, and trials. My work digs into my own experiences with others and our stories beyond just the exterior to a whole understanding. Using multi-media processes that negotiate through levels of composited imagery and iconography and with the aid of chimera conduit bodies, bright playful colors, cultural iconography, and layering of textures and marks. These interactions allow an opened-up dialog with viewers inviting in their own experiences with personal relationships.
