| Richard Swanson: Sculptural Rhythms
Exhibition dates June 15, 2008 - October 26, 2008 Opening Reception Thursday, July 3, 2008, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Swanson’s large-scale sculpture was created specifically for YAM’s Northwest Projects gallery. The work is composed of lyrical arcs of bent aluminum pipe that terminate, or are connected by, eccentrically shaped aluminum nodes. This light, airy, “drawing in space” is meant to be experienced with your body and calls to mind Alexander Calder’s Stabiles. Swanson is also exhibiting a series of maquettes (small models) for large works. Sponsored by Miriam Sample For more information about the exhibition or opening reception please contact the Museum at (406) 256-6804.
